The Citizen Card was developed by Caixa Econômica Federal with the aim of facilitating access for people who receive social and labor benefits, such as unemployment insurance installments, salary bonus, Bolsa Família, among others. Therefore, it can be used in all payment channels authorized by Caixa Econômica in Brazil.

The card is intended for people who have an active account at Caixa and can be requested by calling 0800 726 0207 or at any bank branch. It is worth noting that the issuance of the card is related to the existence of benefits.

Therefore, balance inquiries can be made via the Caixa website or by calling the number mentioned above, from 10 am to 6 pm.

• Access the card page and log in, if you have an account;
• If you do not have an account, enter your CPF and confirm the data by clicking on “I am not a robot”;
• Then, on the next page you must enter your ID number, full name of your mother, father and date of birth;
• Once you have completed your login, just click on “FGTS emergency withdrawal” or “statement” to check your balance;
• By clicking on “PIS” you can see the card balance in “check payment”.

This way, you can check the balance on your citizen card without having to go to a Caixa Econômica Federal branch.

How to use the Citizen Card

Unlock card password?

The process of unlocking the card password is very simple. This particular card is not like the others that already have a password linked to it. Therefore, it is very important for the applicant to register the password as soon as they get the card.
