Savings: see the requirements to receive High School Savings
The Pé de Meia Program is aimed at students from the Public Education System, enrolled in High School.
Announcements
Through it, it is possible to receive up to R$9,200.00 until the completion of your studies, but do you know how to receive this amount in full?
The savings account is paid based on 4 criteria: registration, attendance, completion of the school year and ENEM. Each of these criteria has its own requirements, so they are only received upon compliance with the rules.
In today's material we will see what the requirements are for receiving the values for each criterion, and thus increase the chances of receiving the total amount.
In addition, we will also look at some important questions, so come with us if you want to stay on top of the subject.
Is it necessary to register for Pé de Meia?
If you are not yet familiar with the Pé de Meia Program, we recommend that you read our presentation content, where we talk about the basic requirements to participate.
But, if you already know, we can move on to explaining how to join. After all, do you need to register in order to participate in Pé de Meia?
Not really, since the inclusion of students in the program is automatic for those who are registered with Bolsa Família and enrolled in Public High School.
So, the idea is that this inclusion in the Pé de Meia is automatic, so that immediately after enrolling in the school year it is possible to receive the amounts corresponding to the criterion of Registration.
Can students from the same family group participate in Pé de Meia?
Another common question about the Pé de Meia program is whether all students in the same family group are entitled to it. In other words, can siblings receive the Pé de Meia program at the same time?
And, yes, fortunately it is possible for students from the same family group to receive the benefit, and this occurs because the amounts paid by the program are not included in the calculation of family income.
And, as registration in Bolsa Família is a basic requirement, the fact that it is not counted does not affect family income, which allows more than one teenager or young person from the same family group to participate.
So, if everyone meets the program criteria, they will certainly be entitled to High School Savings!
What are the rules for receiving the amounts corresponding to each criterion?
And finally, we arrive at the most anticipated part, which is where we will explain the requirements to receive the amounts for each criterion of the Pé de Meia program.
As we explained previously, the program is made up of 4 main criteria (enrollment, attendance, completion of the school year and ENEM) and each of them pays individual amounts.
This means that, to receive all the amounts, it is necessary to meet the requirements of each criterion, which are as follows:
Registration
Installment of R$ 200.00 once a year, immediately after completion of the registration process.
Frequency
Up to 10 installments of R$200.00. Installments are received monthly, and you must have at least 80% of attendance in the month to receive each installment.
This means that if the student does not reach the minimum attendance in a month, he/she will not receive the installment and will have to wait for the next one.
It is possible to receive up to R$ 2,000 per year, if the student reaches at least 80% attendance throughout the period.
End of the school year
1 installment of R$ 1,000.00 paid at the end of each year, if the student is approved.
ENEM
Installment of R$ 200.00 intended for students in the 3rd year of High School, paid after the issuance of the High School completion certificate.

Is it possible to lose the right to the benefit?
At this point, we just need to explain the criteria for terminating the benefit, that is, factors that lead to the loss of the benefit.
The termination criteria are as follows:
- Failure for 2 consecutive years;
- School Dropout or Dropout;
- Request for termination by the student himself;
- Changes in meeting eligibility requirements (leaving the public network, or becoming over 24 years of age, for example);
- Proof of fraud or irregularity (for example: false registration, false income statement, etc.);
- Death of the student.
Therefore, it is clear that any of the above occurrences may result in the student being removed from the program.
In some cases, this shutdown may be reversible if the requirements are met again.
However, if fraud or irregularity is proven, the termination is irreversible and it will not be possible to participate again, even if the program requirements are met again.
How are the funds withdrawn from the Savings Account?
As we saw previously, some of the amounts can be withdrawn monthly, as is the case with those relating to the criteria of registration e frequency.
In the case of values of end of school year e ENEM, it is only possible to withdraw after completing high school. But how does this withdrawal occur?
The plan is to open a digital account in the student's name, which will allow them to withdraw the released amounts whenever they want.
Remembering that savings amounts will only be available for withdrawal after the High School Completion Certificate is issued.
