Nubank Ultraviolet Card: check out this new feature

Get to know the Nubank Ultraviolet card, the new premium category card that Nubank has made available to consumers.

Announcements

Nubank Ultraviolet is the company's new card. With a super innovative design, the novelty was announced on Tuesday (6) during the company's "See what nobody saw" event, which was attended by the founder of fintech, David Vélex, and singer and board member Anitta.

The look has been redesigned and is now presented vertically, the color is ultraviolet - a kind of dark purple - and a new logo marks it. The new Nubank bank card doesn't show any user data, such as the security code and number; the only information printed on the card is the customer's name.

This new credit card model aims to make the user experience safer and thus prevent fraud, such as card cloning. It's worth mentioning that the only way to access the data mentioned above is via the Nubank app.

In addition, the card has a much bolder design and is made entirely of metal, meaning that the material is much more resistant. Another much-anticipated new feature was compatibility with Apple Pay, Apple's official payment service.

This way, users can make payments using Touch ID or Face ID authentication, without the need for a physical card.

Cash back

The Nubank Ultraviolet has cashback of 1% on all purchases made with the card.

The amount does not expire and the user can use it to invest, exchange for points, use for purchases, etc. If the money is not used, it grows at 200% of the CDI.

Benefits offered

  • All the Mastercard Black benefits (VIP lounges, insurance, free wifi at airports...);
  • Unique design, made of metal;
  • Cashback of 1%, which grows to 200% on the CDI.

Who can have the Ultraviolet card?

To access Nubank Ultraviolet the client must have a monthly spend of at least R$ 5,000 on the invoice or R$ 150,000 invested or saved.

People who don't fit the conditions can also get the card by paying a monthly fee of R$ 49.00.

According to the company, the Ultraviolet cards will start being produced this week.

How to apply?

To apply for the Nubank Ultraviolet card, you need to register briefly on the interest list. It's worth mentioning that the bank will give priority to releasing the card to people who are already Nubank customers.
