WhatsApp has been gradually releasing the payment and transfer function through the app. Several users have already received notifications to use the platform's new functionality. Banco Santander Brasil customers can use the money transfer option through the messenger.
The tool further simplifies digital financial transactions. With this new feature, Santander complements and strengthens its range of payment solutions. Until now, only Mastercard customers can use payments via WhatsApp.

According to the bank, Visa cards will soon have this feature available. To perform the transaction, simply click on “settings” and “payments” within the app. You must register your card details.
In this model, transfers are free of charge and are made quickly. In addition, there are several layers of security, such as Facebook Pay PIN or biometrics on compatible devices.
Users and customers of Santander can send up to R$1,000 per transaction. For now, it is possible to receive 20 transactions per day, with a monthly limit of R$5,000.
“The transaction is carried out in the conversation environment itself, as simply as sending a photo, involving contacts with whom the customer already interacts regularly,” says Rogério Panca, executive superintendent of Cards at Santander.
