What is the Senior Citizen Card?

Who is entitled?

- Have proven individual income of up to 2 (two) minimum wages.

It is important to note that presenting the card is not mandatory to access rights, as long as the elderly person can prove their age and income at the time of use.
This means that, if you have your ID and proof of retirement, for example, you can already get free or discounted tickets.

Do I need to prove income to get it?
We previously explained the requirements for obtaining the Senior Citizen Card, and we saw that one of them involves the mandatory individual income of up to 2 minimum wages.
But, this may raise a question: after all, is it necessary to prove income or is just registering with CadÚnico enough?
To clarify this issue, it is important to make it clear that retired senior citizens, pensioners or workers in the public or private sector can apply for the card.
So, during registration with CadÚnico, your income information will be collected, which will serve as proof.
However, if you do not have the means to prove your income because you are not an INSS beneficiary and do not have a formal source of income, do not worry, as it will also be possible to provide this information during registration.
