class="wp-block-paragraph">Elon Reeve Musk was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa.

The naturalized American entrepreneur and philanthropist has 10 children, however, his firstborn was born in 2002 and died 10 months later due to SIDS.

He was the founder of SpaceX and is also the CEO of Tesla, an electric car manufacturer.

However, he is known for his participation in and creation of several companies, for example:

Zip2;

Pay Pal and X.com;

Neuralink;

The Boring Company;

OpenAI;

Hyperloop.

He recently bought Twitter, one of the largest social networks in the world, for US$1.4 billion, and yet, he is still the richest man in the world today, according to the Forbes ranking.

What are the main characteristics of Elon Musk as an entrepreneur and the richest man in the world today?

Without a doubt, we have a lot to learn from Musk as an entrepreneur and businessman.

According to a study carried out by the specialist in High Emotional Business Performance, Flavio Sanches, for Jornal Contábil, the 3 main emotional characteristics of this millionaire are: resilience, vision and purpose.

In addition to being specific emotional points in the multimillionaire's behavior, they were also essential to his gigantic financial success.

Certainly, the richest man today did not get where he is without resilience, vision and, of course, purpose.

Do you, as an entrepreneur or businessman, have these characteristics? Do you have the resilience to overcome crises? Do you have a vision of where you want to go? Do you do everything with determination and determination?

Apart from these three emotional characteristics highlighted by Flávio Sanches on the website Accounting Journal, Musk is recognized for the boldness of his ventures.

Knowing a little about his history as an entrepreneur, we can draw the following lessons for our professional life:

Be inspired + work hard;

Be a strategist;

Study and stay up to date;

Don't be afraid to take risks;

Know your worth;

Add value to your business by offering quality and innovative services;

Have self-confidence;

Be prepared for the ups and downs.

Inspiration x Sweat

This millionaire is known for investing in risky projects. He highlighted that he has gone through many difficult times, in which he had to work for a long time on a recurring basis.

Musk even pointed out that inspiration is essential, however, it comes with hard work, as it requires a lot of sweat.

Strategy

Have a strategy, things don't always happen as expected, so don't put your projects aside, adopt new strategies.

Study

To be a good entrepreneur you need to study the market, follow trends and understand consumer behavior.

This way, it becomes easier to outline the ideal strategies for your business.

Furthermore, investing in courses, specializations, diplomas or other study models that may be useful in your professional life is a good solution.

Don't be afraid to take risks

Be bold. Don't be afraid to take risks, because you will miss out on great business opportunities. But always try to maintain balance.

Know your worth

Entrepreneurship, taking risks, working hard, having resilience, efficient strategies are not for everyone.

In fact, Elon Musk himself often says that Entrepreneurship is not for everyone.

Value x Risks

No matter what your business is, it will not be free from risks or problems. Therefore, it is important to offer quality services to customers that add value.

This makes it easier to retain them and have a better chance of overcoming times of crisis.

What can we learn from the financial intelligence of the richest man in the world today?

Being a financially intelligent person and knowing how to make the best decisions regarding personal finances.

Elon Musk has accumulated a fortune of US$$215.4 billion and it could increase at any second.

Despite this, he does not live extravagantly, considering his wealth.

The reason for this is that he told himself that he doesn't have a lot of money; much of his fortune is tied up in Tesla and SpaceX shares.

In 2020, he decided to sell all his surplus assets and properties. In fact, he lives in an unpretentious residence worth just US$1,450,000.

Furthermore, in his day-to-day life he opts for simple clothing items, which demonstrate that he is a simpler man.

However, he likes to wear flashy and more expensive outfits at galas. Musk also likes to spend more money on parties and luxury cars.

If you believe he has financial intelligence Just because he's a billionaire, he's wrong.

Certainly, being born into a wealthy family gave him many opportunities and made his path easier.

However, everything he achieved is a reflection of his intelligence, boldness, courage, inspiration, financial intelligence and other aspects that we mentioned throughout this text.

Conclusion

If the richest man in the world today doesn't waste money and has financial planning, what can we, mere mortals, expect from?

He may certainly not be our favorite “character” as a person or the most correct, however, he has a lot to teach us as an entrepreneur.

Learn more about your history, your motivations, ambitions, projects and take only what is good and edifying for your career.

Find out what it is importance of financial education in the life of citizens.
