The Federal Government's new plan, called "Pec das Benevidas," provides for the expansion of some social benefits, such as the Pix for truck drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The granting of the benefit is still under discussion, especially with regard to the amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, the objective is to provide assistance (a type of voucher) to truck drivers, as a way of reducing the impacts of the constant rise in fuel prices.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, it is expected to contain inflation, not only in fuels, but also in the rest of the production chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fuel voucher and truck driver Pix: what's the difference?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Fuel Voucher, which was proposed by Senator Jean Paul Prates in the form of an amendment and another proposal, is in progress.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original text only aimed to create a Fuel Price Stabilization Account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The objective was to prevent possible sudden adjustments based on the dollar and oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another author of the proposal is Senator Alessandro Vieira. Payment is expected to begin in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rising fuel prices are a constant concern for the government and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that's why there are two proposals under consideration aimed at helping the group most affected by the constant adjustments in fuel prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PEC das bens: who is entitled to the benefit?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The proposal known as PEC das bemidades was approved on June 30th.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The measures aim to expand government benefits and offer new assistance to Brazilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main highlights of the PEC das Benevidas are the increase in the value of Aux\u00edlio Brasil and the gas voucher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, other benefits may be created or changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of Aux\u00edlio Brasil, 19.7 million families will benefit. Of these, 18.1 million are already enrolled in the program and another 1.6 million are on the waiting list but should be included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To qualify for the R$$ 600 payment by December 2022, you must be registered with Cad\u00danico and have an income of R$105 to R$210 per family member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of the gas voucher, 5.1 million families registered with Cad\u00danico will benefit. The amount, however, will increase from R$$ 53 to R$$ 120, the amount that should cover a 13 kg cooking gas cylinder every two months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PIX Truck Driver will allocate installments of R$ 1,000 to 870,000 professionals registered with the National Registry of Road Freight Transporters (RNTRC). Registrations made before May of this year are valid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of the aid to taxi drivers, those with an active registration with the city hall will be included. However, the exact number of beneficiaries was not disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How rising fuel prices are affecting truck drivers and app drivers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The increase in fuel prices is affecting the lives of all Brazilians.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, those who work with vehicles are feeling the impacts of this increase even more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, filling up the tank can be even more complicated for those who depend on vehicles to carry out their professional activities, which is the case for app drivers and truck drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, in search of alternatives to get through this scenario, some professionals are even considering abandoning the roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to mention that the abandonment of activities on the apps has been happening since last year, which was also marked by increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, of the total number of drivers in the city of S\u00e3o Paulo (SP), of 120 thousand drivers, around 25% chose to leave in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, with the drop in prices in January 2022, around 5% of drivers decided to return to their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uber has already announced a temporary price increase, which will reach 6.5% per trip. The goal is to curb rising fuel prices not only in Brazil but worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
